The Referral Tracking module is used to track the patients being referred to your practice. You can now track the status of all of your referrals and make sure that your patient is scheduled to be seen in a timely fashion.

The Referral Tracking can be accessed from the bookmark by clicking the Referral Tracking icon referral_tracking. To have this icon appear in your bookmarks, you must configure it from the user Profile screen. When you click the Referral Tracking icon from your bookmarks, the following screen will appear showing tracking details.

Note: To enable this feature for your practice, go to the Practice Level Configuration screen by clicking the icon Practice_level_configuration from the bookmarks, expand the ‘Practice’ panel and enable the ‘Enable Referral Tracking’ flag. Once enabled, you can also add physician consent and set reminder for tracking.

To add a Referral:

1.Start typing the patient name in the Patient field and select using the smart search results.
2.Select the Referring Provider, Reason for Visit, Referred To, Referral Date, and so on.

 

Submit Response: Select this check box to record that the response is submitted. Select Submission Date and enter comment, if any.
Attach Encounter: Select this check box to attach patient’s encounter with the referral.
Response Received: Select this check box once the response is received and the Status will be changed to Completed. Click the attachment_icon(1) icon to attach the document, if any.

Note: On saving the referral, the attachment will be saved in Document Manager in the Referral Tracking folder.

3.Click Save to add a referral record to the grid.
