Certain preconfigured categories are available with the list of illnesses that are used in the Diagnosis charting element. These illnesses in the category can be configured from this section. Also, they can be copied to another Provider’s category list.
To add an illness to a category:
| 1. | From the left menu items, click Administration > Setup > ICD-10. The Diagnosis Code screen is displayed with Practice, Provider, and Category tabs. |
| 2. | On the Diagnosis Codes screen, click the Category tab. The Illness Category Configuration screen is displayed. |
| 3. | By default, the Practice Favorite option is selected, and the practice favorite list is displayed below. |
| 4. | Select one or more check boxes corresponding to the Illness you want to add to a particular category. |
| 5. | Select the Category from the drop-down list. The values in the drop-down list are hard coded. |
| 6. | By default, the All option is selected from the drop-down list. If you want to configure the illness category for a particular Provider, select the Provider from the drop-down list. |
| 7. | Click Add to add the illness to the selected category below. |
*Note: To delete an illness from the category, click the
icon. You can also delete more than one illness at time by selecting the corresponding check boxes individually, or by selecting the check box near ICD-9/ICD-10 column name to select all the illnesses at once, and clicking theicon below.
| 8. | From the Illness Category Configuration screen, use the search option to search for a specific illness based on ICD-10 code or Illness name criteria. |
| 9. | To copy the list of illnesses of a particular category to another Provider’s illness category, do the following: |
| • | On the Illness Category Configuration screen, select the Default option. The list of illnesses for the selected category is displayed. |
| • | Select the Category from the drop-down list. |
| • | Select the Provider to whom you want to copy the illnesses from the drop-down list. |
| • | Select one or more check boxes corresponding to the Illness to be copied, or select the check box near the ICD-9/ICD-10 column name to select all the illnesses at once. |
| • | Click the  icon. The Illnesses are copied to the selected Provider’s category. |
